Size (mm):

Genus & species Hedychridium ardens homeopathicum Abeille, 1878
Species group ardens
Original combination Hedychrum minutum var. homoeopaticum Abeille, 1878
Type series Lectotypus ♂ des. by Kimsey (1991) (Mus.: Paris)
Original description Pareil au précédent [Hedychridium minutum var. infans], mais à ponctuation sensiblement plus forte et à taille très petite. - 2 mil. - France.
Synonyms and subspecies Hedychrum minutum var. homeopaticum Abeille, 1878: 3. Lectotypus ♂ (Kimsey, 1986), France (Paris)
Systematic notes A very rare subsp., perhaps a distinct species (Strumia, 1995). Rosa (2008) - after the examination of paralectotypes in Gribodo's collection - suggests that homeopathicum is infans sensu Linsenmaier and infans is jucundum sensu Linsenmaier. Thus, jucundum should be a synonym of infans.
