Original description Mediocris, elongata, cyanea, parcius albo-pilosa; pronoto, mesonoto et scutello igneo-, postscutello viridi-auratis; cavitate faciali sat profunda, medio longitudinaliter canaliculata, dense punctulato-coriacea, superne convexa, haud marginata, margine mediano valde obsoleto; genis linearibus; antennis fusco-rufis, articulis duobus primis viridibus, 3 - 4 nigris, tertio brevi, quarto parum longiore; vertice circa stemmata parum nigro-aenescenti, temporibus postice utrinque in margine occipitali angulo spinoideo munitis; thorace supra dense minus crasse punctato-reticulato, pronoto in medio antice sat profunde sulcato, mesonoti lobo medio basi nigro-aenescenti, pleuris parum virescentibus, coriaceo-sculptis; abdominis segmentis dorsalibus duobus primis igneo-auratis, dense minus crasse subrugoso-punctatis, secundo carinula mediana minus distincta, primo impressione basali triramosa et tertio cyaneis, hoc disco macula minuta viridi-subaurata, ante seriem leniter calloso, serie anteapicali per carinulam medianam interrupta foveolis sat magnis rotundis sex, intermediis parum confluentibus, foveolis lateralibus parvis minus distinctis, margine apicali subaurato-viridi dense punctulato, summo leniter undulato, lateribus rotundatis; ventre et pedibus viridi-cyaneis, tibiis magis viridibus, tarsis fuscis; alis sordide-hyalinis, venis fuscis, cellula radiali lanceolata apice sat late aperta, tegulis nigro-aeneis. - ♂ long. 7 mm.

Specierum: Chrysidis sinuosae Dhlb. et viridulae L. var. erythromelanos Dhlb. socia est; sed a Chrys. sinuosa: statura non robusta, cavitate faciali non transverse-strigosa, vertice antice haud aureo-virescenti, mesonoti lobo medio igneo-aurato; a specie posteriore vero: sine macula magna transversa inter oculos et stemmata virescenti-aurea et foveolis non numerosis et sulciformibus, praesertim distincta. - Etiam Chrysidi viridulae Linn. et eius var. cingulicornis Foerst. valde similis; sed harum margo apicalis non est leniter undulatus et lateribus rotundatus, sed dentibus externis brevibus triangularibus, intermediis brevissime lenissimeque arcuato-obtusis armatus.
« Armure. La branche du forceps se rétrécissent vers l'extrémitè et garnie de poils. Volsella assez large, faiblement garnie de poils: sa tenette densement pourvue de poils courts. La forme des crochets représentée sur la fig. 32 i.» (Rad. l. c. tab. III. fig. 32a, 32b, 32c, 32f, 32g).
